Hello

I’m Dorin – my friends call me Dori – and doritravel.com is where I share the journeys that have shaped me over the years. I’ve spent a long time exploring Europe and the United States, sometimes traveling on my own, other times with my wife, and often with our two sons. Traveling as a family has taught me to see destinations differently — through curiosity, patience, and the small details that make a place memorable for everyone, not just for adults.

This blog grew out of a simple idea: travel should feel inspiring, but also achievable. Whether I’m planning a weekend escape with my wife or a longer trip with the kids, I’ve learned that the best itineraries are the ones that balance discovery with practicality. That’s why every guide you’ll find here is based on real experiences — the kind you get by walking the streets, taking detours, talking to locals, and adapting plans to fit the rhythm of family travel.

My readers come from all ages and backgrounds, but many share the same desire: to travel independently, confidently, and with a sense of purpose. Some travel solo, some as couples, some with children — and I try to write for all of them. If a route works for a family of four, it usually works for anyone.

If you’re here, thank you. I hope the stories, tips, and itineraries on doritravel.com help you plan better journeys, discover places that stay with you, and enjoy travel in a way that feels personal and meaningful — whether you’re exploring alone or with the people you love.

And if you want to stay connected and receive updates whenever I publish new guides or itineraries, feel free to subscribe. It’s the easiest way to follow along as new destinations and travel ideas unfold.
